Moneysupermarket.com announces a new Director of Human Resources

December 20, 2007: moneysupermarket.com has appointed a new Director of Human Resources to drive progressive HR practices and position the company as the place people will choose to work.
Alan Cairns has been given the responsibility of strengthening the workforce through objective recruitment - a key area being IT - and to continue the development of staff in all areas of the company. Alan will also be turning his attention to employee communication, compensation and benefits and instilling a performance management culture.
Alan joins moneysupermarket.com from Littlewoods Shop Direct where he was Group Director of Performance and Capability and is bringing 20 years of HR experience to the new position. Alan has worked for GE, Alstom and JCB amongst others. After recently starting his new role Alan has been working to establish key objectives and immediate priorities.
The rapid expansion of Moneysupermarket.com Group PLC in the last year has seen employee numbers rise above 600 and it was only a matter of time before a dedicated Director of HR was needed at the recently awarded Welsh Business of the Year.
