- Tobias van der Meer appointed new MD of money
- Toby joins from Anglo Irish Bank, and previously Citi and Egg
The UK's number one comparison site has appointed a new Managing Director to sit on the executive board and lead its Money business.
Tobias (Toby) Van der Meer recently joined moneysupermarket.com from Anglo Irish Bank where he was head of retail banking (Europe). Toby has also held a number of senior roles at Citigoup including UK retail bank head and UK chief marketing officer. Prior to joining Citi, Toby was on the executive committee of Egg Plc.
Originally from The Netherlands, Toby studied at Oxford University and has lived in 7 different countries over 4 continents before moving to the UK. Toby is married, has a young daughter, and is an avid reader, scuba diver and football fan.
Speaking of joining the moneysupermarket.com executive board Toby said; "I am delighted to become a part of the team at moneysupermarket.com. The financial services sector has been through some significant changes in the last 18 months, and our business has adapted well by continuing to focus on helping customers make better financial decisions. This support and access to products and rates that we can provide to our customers is more important than ever in times of consumer and economic uncertainty.
