New management in the Insurance Vertical

- Graham Donoghue appointed MD for Insurance
- Steve Sweeney heads up motor and Julie Owens heads up home
A new senior management team is in place for the Insurance business of moneysupermarket.com, the UK's number one price comparison site.
Graham Donoghue has been appointed managing director for Insurance, adding to his existing responsibilities as the MD of travelsupermarket.com and member of the PLC board.
There is also a new management structure reporting to Graham to help drive the insurance business.
Steve Sweeney has joined the business, from supermarket Iceland, as head of motor insurance. Steve has 10 years of experience in retail, including working within marketing and commercial buying and brings with him a real insight into driving customer satisfaction in a retail business.
Steve holds a degree in Economics and Social Policy from Manchester University. His interests include football and cricket and he enjoys skiing when he has the opportunity.
Speaking of his role at moneysupermarket.com Steve Sweeney said; "We have some really great developments in the pipeline for our motor insurance offering. Our main focus is making changes and improvements so that visitors to our site have a great experience and get exactly the right product for their needs at the end of it. The consumer has really embraced shopping around for the best value deal for their motor insurance and we want to make the whole process as quick and easy as possible.
Julie Owens has recently joined moneysupemarket.com, from TescoCompare, as the head of home and home services.
Julie has over 20 years experience in the insurance sector and has worked in all aspects of the market including general insurance, direct insurance as well as in the Lloyd's market. Julie has held senior roles at both Churchill and RBS Insurance as well as her role as head of commercial development at aggregator TescoCompare.
Julie is looking forward to working with the team at moneysupermarket.com and said of her new role; "I'm keen to drive the home insurance business at moneysupermarket.com to its full potential. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline that we feel will make a real difference to the consumers and insurance providers. I'm working closely with the team here to optimise all opportunities and hope to develop them further.
Graham Donoghue has high expectations for the new management team for moneysupermarket.com insurance; "As a team we are aware that as well as delivering a market leading experience for customers we also need to deliver for our insurance providers.
